Ok so today I want to talk to you about something that I think is really important. And it has nothing to do with network marketing or marketing. I want to talk to you about financial education, which I believe is one of the most important things you can learn in your life. And it is sad to say that financial education is one of the least studied topics amongst people. When I talk to some of my family and friends about certain financial things that I think are basic they look at me like a deer in head lights.
So who teaches you financial education? I would be willing to bet that you answered that question with a big fat NO ONE! Exactly my point. We go to school for years and years and they don’t even mention some of the basic wealth building strategies. Which I think is ironic because most people go to school or college to get better jobs so they can make more money. Well let me tell you that it doesn’t matter how much money you make, all that matters is how much of it you keep. It doesn’t matter if you make million dollars a year if you are spending one and a half million dollars a year. You are still broke! Now on the opposite end if you make $30,000 a year and only spend $15,000 a year then you are wealthier than the person who make a million dollars a year.
Ya see I think it is funny when people talk about how much money they make. Who cares.. What I want to know is how much money they keep. Or what kind of investments they are in and what kind of an ROI they are getting. I have been studying wealth creation and learning how to invest the money that I make for over 8 years now. I am in no way shape or form an expert, I am still learning and continue to educate myself. Like I said before I think that financial education is one of the most important things you can learn.
So back to the question of where do you learn about this stuff? If it’s one of the most important things you can learn why aren’t there more people teaching you how to invest your money? It’s not like you can just find your local millionaire and pick his brain. And trust me you don’t want to be getting your financial advise from someone who makes less money than you. Which is what most people do. Ha ha ha.. It just blows my mind. Anyways one of the best ways to learn about anything is to find someone that has already done it and then do what they do. If you want to be a millionaire then you need to learn from an actual millionaire. Someone who has been there done that.
